The common ground between Left and Right is anger over corporate malfeasance, whether it’s the banks that got away with causing the Great Recession, or companies like Monsanto that poison us at will behind a shield of lobbyists, or big oil companies that willfully destroy the environment while wringing out every last penny of profit. And Sen. Warren’s relentless attack on the financial industry, and dark money, leaves her ideally situated to appeal both to left-wing Democrats and to many of the “forgotten men and women” who voted for Trump in 2016. Of all the current Democratic candidates, I believe she stands (by far) the best chance of appealing to, and perhaps even uniting, our deliberately-fragmented middle class. This is why I’ve already donated to her campaign three times, and will certainly do so again.
